The Zimmerman Bury Octagon House
Our Mission is to preserve the only known Queen Ann Style Octagonal house with a gabled roof. This 1883 landmark has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the owners wish to share it with the public as a living museum of the middle class Victorian way of life.

The
Octagon House is Now Available for private Victorian Teas, Workshops, April 27, 2013 12-5 GIRL SCOUT DAY Bring your Girl Scout Troop out to learn some local history and the history of the house. Punch and English Trifle & Cookies will be served. Troops must pre-register by April 24th by calling the house. July 27, 2013 12-3 DOWNTON ABBY GARDEN PARTY Join us, Downton Abby Fans, for an Edwardian Garden Party featuring authentic period foods and games on the lawn. Come Rain or Shine. Games will include a Scavenger Hunt, Croquet, Graces, Horse Shoes & Best Hat Contest. Enjoy Musical Entertainment, have your image captured for a photo keepsake & visit with our Special Guests in first person. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the preservation efforts of an original Civil War Battle Flag of the 29th OVI Living History Association. $35 special event fee per person. Registration Form November 8, 9 & 10, 2013 19TH CENTURY WORKSHOP WEEKEND A full schedule will be posted soon. Workshops will center around mid 19th century clothing and accessories. Public Christmas House Tours 12-4
A $5 donation per person is requested, children $2, children 5 & under
will be free. Visit the Zimmerman-Bury Octagon House when each room is
decorated with authentic Victorian Christmas decorations, including antique
ornaments on the tree. Take a journey into the past one step at a time up
the decorated spiral staircase to view the second floor. Walk the grounds, and shop in the gift shop
for Victorian hand made Christmas gifts. All
proceeds to benefit a current restoration project. December

Mystery Night Dinner 6-10
Participate in a mystery
evening while enjoying dinner and house tour.
Seating will be limited to 11 so please register early, $35 special event

Enjoy an elegant multi course Victorian supper amid the period ambience
of this 1883 octagonal house. Evening
also includes the history of the house, a full house tour, entertainment &
evening parlor games.
Provided there is snow, sleigh rides will be included.

seating will be limited to 12, $50 special event fee per person. Now accepting reservations for groups of ten or more for Victorian Holiday High Teas from Thanksgiving to New Year's. A special Holiday Menu has been prepared and is served buffet style. Enjoy learning the History of the house while soaking in the ambiance of antique Christmas decorations. A special treat for family, friends and groups wishing to meet for the Holiday Season. $20 per person. (Contract)
